MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A long-time Milwaukee alderman says he's leaving the Common Council.
Terry Witkowski has represented his south side district for 15 years after serving the city as head of the Safety Commission.
In a statement released Thursday afternoon, Witkowski says his last day on the council will be Thursday, May 30.
He will leave to become a volunteer with the Garden District.
