Alabama Shakes to perform in Milwaukee during first tour in 8 years

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Alabama Shakes will perform at the Miller High Life Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. as part of the band’s first tour in eight years.

The Grammy-winning group, known for its blend of rock and soul, announced its return after an extended hiatus from touring in a Friday, Feb. 7 press release.

The band has won four Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album for "Sound & Color," which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. Their debut album, "Boys & Girls," featured the hit single “Hold On” and was certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Alabama Shakes last toured in 2017 before taking a break.

Sam Evian will join the band as a special guest performer during the Milwaukee show.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. through alabamashakes.com. A presale for Citi cardholders begins Monday, Feb. 10. All ticket information can be found by clicking here.
