Apple Harvest Festival returns to Waukesha for 36th season ๐๐
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Retzner Nature Center in Waukesha is preparing for its 36th annual Apple Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Visitors can look forward to a variety of harvest attractions including an apple market, arts and crafts vendors and live music.
For foodies, apple varieties will be available at the Apple Market from Brightonwoods Orchard and Patterson Orchards. Delafield Brewhaus Beer Garden will offer ready-to-eat food and beverages, including a special "Retzer Apple Ale."
The festival also features sweet treats crafted by Waukesha County Technical College's Baking and Pastry Management program.
The grounds of the Retzner Nature Center will host various self-guided activities and educational hikes for all age groups. Scarecrow Lane, featuring community-made scarecrows, kicks off for the season, and children can enjoy craft activities and the Wood Climbing Exploration Station along the Discovery Trail.
For indoor entertainment, the Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium will present shows every 30 minutes.
The festival requires a $10 per car entry fee, payable in cash upon arrival.
