The Army Sgt. 1st Class recently boarded a van with his wife and three kids for what he thought was an informational interview with Operation Finally Home, an organization providing custom-built mortgage-free homes for military veterans facing financial hardship. But what he found when he arrived in Menomonee Falls was not an interview at all, but a celebration with new neighbors ready to break ground on a brand new home.
