Artist celebrates Brewers postseason championship run with Jackson Chourio mural
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- To help celebrate the Milwaukee Brewers postseason success, an artist is installing a special mural on the plaza at Chase Tower along Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee.
Chalk artist Katie Bogan is finishing up this 10-by-10 foot mural honoring Outfielder Jackson Chourio.
Bogan, a Milwaukee-area resident, is nationally recognized for her realistic portraits done in chalk, pencil, and paint. And after moving to the area last year, the city reached out to see if she can add to the Brewers postseason craze.
Commissioned by Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, the mural will remain in place throughout the Brewers' postseason run, as weather allows.
The Milwaukee Brewers currently have a 2-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series as Bogan puts the finishing touches on the mural.
