MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A scary moment in Madison after a pier collapsed on Monday, Sept. 4 -- sending between 60 and 80 people into the water.
The pier is part of UW Madison's Memorial Union Terrace.
People on the docks say it was a chaotic scene, students were tanning and many had their stuff with them on the pier.
One person was sent to the hospital and 20 people had minor injuries.
Divers checked to make sure no one was trapped underwater.
