Aurora St. Luke's nurse to throw out first pitch at Brewers game

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- A Nurse at Aurora St. Luke's will throw out the first pitch at the Milwaukee Brewers game Wednesday, May 12.

Ashley Burbey, RN supervisor in the MRICU, is the first person the Brewers have invited on the field to throw out the first pitch since 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is truly an incredible honor to be chosen to throw out tonight’s First Pitch,” said Ashley. “Being on the front lines during this pandemic has reaffirmed that I work with the strongest, bravest, and most resilient team. I am so lucky to be able to represent them tonight. This is literally a dream come true!”
