'Been a hell of a run': Bakhtiari says goodbye to Packers
GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It appears the Green Bay Packers are moving on from left tackle David Bakhtiari.
The all-pro posted a long note on social media Monday, March 11, thanking Green Bay, the fans, coaches and the entire organization ending it with quote, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile, because it happened.”
He was the packers longest tenured player spending his entire career so far in Green Bay after being drafted in 2013.
Bakhtiari is a five-time all pro left tackle and three-time pro bowler.
A lot of emotion in this. I just want to say THANK YOU Green Bay. Thank you for the last 11 years. It’s been a hell of a run. I always wanted to raise a Lombardi on Lombardi avenue, but I will never complain. I gave it my all. I always gave it my best no matter the circumstance… pic.twitter.com/dnc7gkKSAC
