Beneficial rain is coming

When you have a long timeframe of pleasant, sunny weather you don’t want it change, right? Well, take a look at your lawns and vegetation! It needs a good soaking. We are almost two inches below average for rainfall in southeastern Wisconsin, and most of state, so far this month. Rain is coming soon!

A slow-moving low pressure system will usher in scattered showers and storms later this evening and tonight. This kind of storm system is losing some of its organization, yet there’s enough energy to produce rainfall for a few days. It will not be a washout, or raining consistently for four days; there will be rain chances in the forecast starting tonight through the weekend. However, by Sunday most of the activity will be ending, and the storm will be tracking east.

Rainfall totals by Sunday could be over an inch, even more, for most of the area. Hello to some beneficial rainfall!
