AdoptMeMKE🐾: 7-month-old Chariot
WHITEWATER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- This is Chariot! She's a sweet 7-month-old puppy with some special needs, who's searching for a family dedicated to learning about her condition. We caught up with her at Crosby's Canine Care indoor gym to learn more about what she's looking for in an adoptive family.
Chariot was born with scoliosis and uses a diaper inside, and a wheelchair outside.
She's currently living with a foster family through Albert's Dog Lounge, a foster-based rescue out of Whitewater, Wisconsin.
Chariot currently weighs about 16 pounds, and her foster family says they don't expect her to grow much bigger than 25-30.
Once she's fully grown, they say Walkin' Pets will sponsor a wheelchair for her, that will come along with her when she's adopted.
Chariot's foster parents say no prior experience with a special needs pet is required, but dedication is. Someone who's willing to learn about Chariot's needs, make sure her diapers are clean and that she's changed regularly.
And they say having another dog is a big plus -- Chariot loves playing with the resident dogs in their home and gets along with cats as well.
She's spayed, and up to date on all her shots. If you're interested, contact Albert's Dog Lounge.
