Birds Eye Plant in Darien suspending operations for 1 week

DARIEN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Birds Eye Plant in Darien has announced it's suspending operations in the vast majority of its facilities for one week.

The areas that will stay open will reportedly have enough physical distance between workers and Plexiglas barriers.

The company says 22 of their employees have been diagnosed with coronavirus, prompting them to suspend operations.

Employees affected by the decision will continue to be paid, along with anyone who contracted the virus.
