MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Tuesday, U.S. Cellular gave some kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Milwaukee a behind-the-scenes look at Summerfest.
It was part of their tech tour, giving the kids an opportunity to learn about the technology and engineering that powers the massive music festival.
They even got a tour of the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Besides checking out the cool tech, it also gave them a chance to think about their future.
"This is the opportune time to get them to reimagine, allow them to reimagine what's possible. So whether that's career, whether that's them being on stage, whether they wanna get back to learn to sing and take dance lessons at one of our dance studios of sorts, just give them a reason to hope for something else."
This isn't the first time U.S. Cellular has helped out the Boys & Girls Club. Last year they donated $50,000 to the nonprofit to help provide more opportunities in STEM fields -- that's science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
