MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The hot and humid weather has people flocking to beaches and parks to take a dip in some cool water or rest under a large shade tree. However, littering has been a problem unfortunately.
Bradford Beach along Lake Michigan was covered in litter this morning. One person told CBS 58 that park crews have been cleaning up a lot of litter every day. His message to those that are littering is to clean up after yourself.
"If you guys could just pick up your trash," Francisco Enriquez Jacome said. "You know it doesn't take much to bring your own plastic bag or paper bag. Just throw your trash and take it with you. If the trash cans are full, just take the trash with you and throw it (away) at home."
If you are caught littering in the city, you could face a $500 fine.
