'Brew City Trail' launches, connecting beer-focused businesses across SE Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There's a new way to celebrate Milwaukee's rich brewing culture. 

Visit Milwaukee launched its Brew City Trail Tuesday morning, Sept. 22. It's a guided route that connects breweries, beer gardens, and other beer-focused businesses in our area. 

Visit Milwaukee President and CEO Peggy Williams-Smith spoke about how the trail tells Milwaukee's story.

"Brew City is something that Milwaukee authentically owns," said Williams-Smith. "It's our generations of Milwaukeeans who built it. But having a great story isn't enough. Our opportunity is to take something that people already associate with Milwaukee and turn it into an experience that gets them to stay longer, explore further, discover another neighborhood, support another local business, and ultimately come back again and again."

And the fun doesn't stop in Milwaukee. The trail spans across Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Racine, Kenosha and Walworth counties.
