Brewers beat the Mets 5-3, forcing a deciding Game 3

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Brewers season will stay alive after beating the Mets 5-3.

There have been 10 finished Wild Card series since MLB expanded the playoffs. The Game 1 winner has won all 10 of them, so for a Brewers team, that lives by the word "undaunted."

They had a truly daunting task. You can't win two straights if you don't win the first, and the Rookie Jackson Chourio helped the cause with an early homer, but the Mets went in front and held the lead for most of the game.

Until Chourio came back. He is 20 years old, and he is under contract until 2033, doing things we have never seen before. Chourio tied it and a couple of batters later, Garrett Mitchell gave Milwaukee the lead.

A win for the ages, and a very different definition of "undaunted." The Brewers stay alive and force a winner take all Game 3 on Thursday, Oct. 3. The game is scheduled for 6:08 p.m.
