Brewers fans celebrate NLDS victory, look ahead to Dodgers rematch in NLCS
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Hundreds of Milwaukee Brewers fans stayed up late Wednesday night outside American Family Field, cheering on the team as it battled the San Diego Padres in Game 4 of the National League Division Series.
“I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world right now to witness the Brewers go ahead and lock this up tonight,” Brewers fan Sean Snipes said.
The late night proved worth it for the fans who gathered, as Milwaukee defeated San Diego to eliminate the Padres and advance to the National League Championship Series.
“We just had the momentum going and we stayed with the momentum, and we didn't stop,” Brewers fan Laurie Nowak said. “And the Dodgers should be afraid of us. They should be scared.”
The Brewers will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, setting up a rematch of last year's championship series.
“It’s a good feeling going into the championship series,” Brewers fan Aaron Berry said. “We have the tools, we have what’s necessary to win it, we learned from last year, we’re going to make adjustments.”
Los Angeles swept Milwaukee in the 2025 NLCS, but fans gathered Wednesday night said they believe this year's Brewers team is capable of producing a different result.
“The entire city showed up, the entire city showed out,” Berry said. “This was a really good environment. I can’t wait to see it in the NLCS.”
Milwaukee will have home-field advantage to begin the series, with Game 1 scheduled for Sunday at American Family Field.
After celebrating an NLDS victory late into Wednesday night, Brewers fans are already turning their attention toward another chance at the Dodgers and a trip to the World Series.
