Brewers to honor Bob Uecker with commemorative jersey patch

Milwaukee Brewers

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers have unveiled a Bob Uecker jersey patch to honor the longtime broadcaster, who died Jan. 16.

The design features a gold and navy plaid print, a tribute to the sportscoats Uecker often wore. The patch will be placed on the sleeve of all Brewers jerseys throughout the 2025 season.

The tribute will debut during Spring Training, with the team wearing the patch for the first time in an exhibition game against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1:10 p.m. at American Family Fields of Phoenix.

Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said in a Monday, Feb. 10 press release that the patch serves as a way to honor Uecker’s memory whenever the team takes the field.

The team also noted that details about a public Celebration of Life event will be announced later this spring.
