MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A four-legged legend of the Milwaukee Brewers, known as "Hank the Ballpark Pup," has passed away.

According to the Milwaukee Brewers, Hank passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Hank became part of the Brew Crew in 2014, when he wandered up to staff at Brewers' Spring Training camp in Phoenix.

Throughout that spring, Hank spent his days at the complex and his nights in the safety of Brewers homes.

At the conclusion of Spring Training that year, Hank was officially adopted by the family of Brewers Chief Operating Officer Marti Wronski. For the past 10 years, he lived a comfortable life at his forever home in Wisconsin, cared for by a loving family, according to the Brewers.

Hank was named after Hank Aaron, a baseball legend who made his mark on Milwaukee playing for both the Braves and the Brewers.

From Bobbleheads, apparel, stuffed animals and more, fans fawned over Hank the ballpark pup merchandise.

Hank was even part of the first CBS 58 led Brewers Weather Day in 2018.

May he rest in peace.
