MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - First impressions of the Bucks' first-round draft picks? A world of potential and talent, but like clay, they will need to be molded into the vision new Bucks head coach Taylor Jenkins has for the style, character and commitment of the 2026-27 Milwaukee Bucks.

The team introduced first-round selections Brayden Burries and Nate Ament at the Hillside Boys & Girls Club on Thursday.

Burries, the 10th overall pick, is expected to compete for playing time sooner rather than later. Ament, selected 13th overall, will likely need time to add strength and continue developing before carving out a larger role.

CBS 58 Sports Director Lance Allan asked Burries about his ability to impact the game in multiple ways.

"Guard multiple positions. Be able to play different positions," Burries said. "That just gives you more opportunity to be on the floor. And the more you can excel at being just the one? You can play off the ball or on the ball. And it just gives you more opportunity to be on the floor and, you know, just building that trust with coach."

Ament said one of the biggest reasons he is excited to begin his NBA career in Milwaukee is the culture being established under Jenkins.

"For me? I just wanna surround myself with people who are basketball junkies and wanna stay in the gym and wanna get better every day," Ament said. "And I think I found that in Coach Jenkins."

The Bucks are hoping both players can become key pieces of the franchise's future as Milwaukee continues building its next core.
