Bucks ready for second-half test with matchup against Timberwolves
MINNEAPOLIS (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks return rested from the All-Star break, just in time for one of their bigger challenges of the season.
Milwaukee faces Western Conference leading Minnesota at 9 p.m. at Target Center. It's the first game since All-Star weekend for both teams, and the Bucks are happy to hit the reset button after a rough end to the season's first half.
Bobby Portis said early Friday that trust and communication is essentials over the final 26 games. They'll be tested against a Timberwolves team standing at 39-16 and winners of four straight, including a 24-point win over the Bucks on Feb. 8.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are probable for the game with minor injuries. Both played in the All-Star Game Sunday, with Lillard taking MVP honors for the game.
Khris Middleton will miss the game with an ankle injury.
The second-half opener is also the first Bucks over-the-air broadcast since 2006. It can be seen on CBS 58 and WMLW at 9 p.m. Tune in to CBS 58 News at 8 p.m. for a special broadcast followed by pregame.
