CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) — The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Cedarburg for a series of appearances at the Ozaukee County Fair.

The highlight of the visit will take place Thursday, July 30, when the eight-horse hitch is harnessed to the iconic turn-of-the-century beer wagon for a parade along Washington Avenue.

The parade will begin at 3 p.m. near Spring Street and continue to the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds.

The Clydesdales will also be stabled and available for public viewing during the fair.

Just before the fair, the Clydesdales made a stop near the Fiserv Forum and the Deer District in Milwaukee.

The Ozaukee County appearance is one of hundreds made annually by three traveling Clydesdale teams based at Anheuser-Busch's St. Louis brewery.

The horses have represented Anheuser-Busch since 1933, when August A. Busch Sr. was presented with a team to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition. More than 90 years later, the Clydesdales remain a familiar attraction at fairs, festivals and sporting events across the country.

The Clydesdales have also appeared in two presidential inauguration parades.

Several one-horse appearances are scheduled during the team's Cedarburg visit:

• Maxwells Bar and Grill: Friday, July 31, from 5-7 p.m.
• Piggly Wiggly: Saturday, Aug. 1, from 4-5 p.m.
• Otto's Wine and Spirits: Saturday, Aug. 1, from 5-6 p.m.

Outside of their traveling appearances, the Budweiser Clydesdales can be seen at the Anheuser-Busch brewery and Grant's Farm in St. Louis, as well as Warm Springs Ranch, the company's Clydesdale breeding farm in Boonville, Missouri.
