Burlington woman accused of sexually assaulting young child
RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 41-year-old woman is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a child under the age of 13.
According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, the accused is 41-year-old Kerry Hughes.
Hughes allegedly sent inappropriate messages and had physical, sexual contact with the child.
Officials say an interview was conducted at the Child Advocacy Center and the child corroborated the allegations.
According to the sheriff's office, a third party -- whom Hughes had confided in -- also corroborated the allegations.
Information was also obtained that there are possible additional victims, according to the sheriff's office. The Racine County Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with additional information contact them at (262) 636-3323.
Hughes has been charged with the following:
- 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a child (two counts)
- Child Enticement
- Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime
- Causing Child under the age of 13 view/listen to sexual activity
- Exposing Genitals, Pubic Area, Intimate Parts
