MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- During this week's edition of Capitol Connection, CBS 58 Captiol Correspondent Emilee Fannon joined J.R. Ross of WisPolitics to dive into recent developments that are shaping a new era in Wisconsin politics.
They analyzed the key takeaways from Tuesday's election results, including the significant role abortion played as a driving factor.
Also, there were contrasting strategies between the candidates. While Dan Kelly focused on crime, Republican strategists suggest this may not have been the winning approach, especially after its success against Governor Tony Evers in the midterms.
The two also discussed the challenges facing the Republican Party in Wisconsin, as they've lost 14 out of the last 17 statewide elections.
Capitol Connection is a collaboration between CBS 58 and WisPolitics.
