CBS 58 and Steinhafels team up with Salvation Army for toy drive
(CBS 58) -- CBS 58 and Steinhafels have joined forces with The Salvation Army to help give children in need the gift of joy this holiday season. CBS 58 viewers can drop off toys at any Milwaukee area Steinhafels location through December 14, or take part in the Day of Giving, Tuesday, November 27, at any Steinhafels location.
The Salvation Army Milwaukee County Toy Shop provides parents the opportunity to “shop” for new toys that have been donated and collected in the community. Parents will make selections based on the age and gender of their children, and surprise them on Christmas morning with toys.
On the ‘Day of Giving’, Tuesday, November 27, CBS 58 is hosting a daylong event, with a donation phone bank and live remote broadcasts from donation sites at Milwaukee area Steinhafels locations. To make a donation through the phone bank, please call 414-777-5801. The phone bank will run from 5:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on November 27.
The Salvation Army accepts new toys and books only. The age groups for toys are 0-2 years, 3-7 years, 8-12 years and 13-15 years. The biggest area of need is for both boys and girls ages 8-15 years old. For more info on the Toy Shop click here.
