CBS 58's Hometown Athlete: Indianapolis safety Hunter Wohler glad to contribute to the Colts
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hunter Wohler put the work in during the offseason. Because last year, in the preseason against the Packers, it was taken away by a season-ending injury.
"It's hard," Colts safety Hunter Wohler says. "I mean, especially you work your whole life to get to that level and be in that situation and you know, it all gets taken away, but that's the game.
Wohler plans to get married next year, with one unanswered question.
Sports Director Lance Allan asks: "Married life's in your future. Is the mustache under negotiation?"
"So far the fiancée hasn't said anything about it," Wohler says with a laugh. "So we're just gonna ride it until, we'll just see where it goes. See how long it can stick around."
The Colts safety though, is loyal to his Wisconsin roots.
"I always got along with Coach Fickell," Wohler says. "I like him. Me and him have sat down and had some really good conversations. And I know the plan that he has there, I get along with the staff and Coach Brady (Ewing), and everything I'm hearing, I'm hearing really good buzz around the program and stuff."
