MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There are some fun winter activities to add to the family calendar in the Milwaukee area this weekend, and Joe Krauss of B93.3 joined us on Friday, Feb. 23 to preview a couple of them.
Winter Break MKE will take place at South Shore Park on Saturday, Feb. 24 from noon until 4:30 p.m. It will feature cold weather activities, such as an introduction to dog sledding, Nordic walking, and even a sauna and cold dip. Kids and pets will also each have their own respective playgrounds to enjoy. Admission is free.
The opening weekend of Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center is happening over the weekend, starting Saturday at 1 p.m. The story is about Elephant Gerald and Piggie the Pig cherishing friendship through ups and downs, in a story that is aimed at showing kids the importance of valuing friendship.
