Charges to be brought against Watertown YMCA day care staff member following child abuse investigation

WATERTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Watertown police say charges will be referred to the DA's office against a YMCA Daycare Center staff member following a child abuse investigation.

Officers were called to investigate "suspicious" injuries to an infant who was being treated at ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital on June 5. 

Police say it was determined that the injuries occurred while the child was at the YMCA Daycare Center in Watertown.

The police department says YMCA staff fully cooperated with the investigation, and charges will be referred to the Jefferson County DA's Office.
