Check your tickets! $1M Mega Millions ticket sold in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A $1,000,000 Mega Millions winning ticket was sold at a Pick 'n Save in Plymouth.

On Tuesday, July 11 a Mega Millions lottery player defied the odds and won big. The lucky winner matched all five numbers (not the mega ball) and won the $1,000,000 prize. The odds of achieving this feat is 1:12,607,307.

This is the second time in 2023 that the Plymouth Pick N Save has sold a $1,000,000 winning ticket with the first being a scratch off back in March.

"I have been the director of this store for only three days and WOW, what an experience. We are super excited for the winner," said Pick 'n Save Store Director, Shaun Priesgen.

The Wisconsin Lottery recommends that everyone checks their tickets after each drawing as all Wisconsin lotto games have multiple prizes available. Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize. Information on how to claim a prize is available here.
