MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's WMSE 91.7 FM is aiming to spice up spring with its 21st annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser on Sunday, April 16, starting at 11 a.m. at the MSOE Kern Center.
Presented by Lakefront Brewery, the event gathers over 50 restaurants, cafes and caterers to serve a variety of chili to thousands of attendees.
Sidney McCain, WMSE Promotions Director, and Jim Neumeyer of Beans and Barley joined us on Monday, April 10 to offer more details, with Neumeyer showcasing his award-winning veggie chili.
The family-friendly event features music from DJs Johnny Z and Dietrich, kid-friendly activities and a new hot sauce, Hellraiser, created by A&M Provisions exclusively for WMSE.
Guests will vote for the best meat, heat, veggie, unique chili and also the hottest display.
Advance tickets are available for $15, while day-of tickets cost $20. A special bundle offers eight tickets for $100. Each ticket includes four chili samples. For more information, visit wmse.org/chili. Participating businesses can sign up at wmse.org/rbcsignup.
