MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Colectivo Coffee is closing its Third Ward location in Milwaukee due to sales losses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The shop is located near E. St. Paul Ave. and N. Broadway.
Additionally, Colectivo has two other Milwaukee-area cafes (U.S. Bank Galleria and Bayshore Town Center) that have yet to reopen since the original shutdown in March.
The company is also closing a location in Madison and its Chicago Troubadour project.
Company leader Scott Schwebel released the following statement:
“We are saddened to close these cafes for our co-workers and the customers they serve. We tried to make a go of it, but they simply are not viable in this COVID environment. We are rooting for a return to normalcy in these neighborhoods and Colectivo looks forward to being there for these communities when they bounce back.”
