Comedians hone their craft at 'Mil Comedy Jam' Open Mic nights
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Comedy Kingz run a weekly stand-up comedy open mic night called 'Mil Comedy Jam.'
The Mil Comedy Jam Open Mic stands as a cornerstone of Milwaukee’s comedy scene, providing a space where comedians grow, connect, and shine. Every Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM, the stage comes alive with laughter as performers — from first-timers to seasoned pros — take five minutes to work out their material and elevate their craft. Hosted by Comedian Tez, B Jones, Dre Lov, and Myron Jewells, The Mil Comedy Jam Open Mic serves as a training ground for emerging talent and a proving stage for veterans refining their sets. The mission is simple: to help comedians get better, build confidence, and create opportunities to be seen and booked for future shows. Week after week, The Mil Comedy Jam continues to inspire creativity, foster community, and shape the future of stand-up in Milwaukee — one performance at a time.
BJones, Dre Lov, and Comedian Tez joined CBS 58 Morning News to discuss how anyone can come watch the comedy or get up on stage themselves.
