MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee is full of public art and a new mural is being celebrated. Molson Coors commissioned a local artist to paint a piece at Miller High Life Theatre commemorating 120 years of the brand.
The mural is an illustration of a woman on the moon enjoying the High Life with, "Cheers to our hometown" below her.
The artist who completed the piece, Fred Kaems, said he's always been passionate about public art.
"I believe that they bring a certain kind of life to our community. I've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact that murals can have on local neighborhoods, they become landmarks that people can identify with," Kaems said.
Wisconsin Center District's CEO said the theater houses nine historic paintings on the inside so it's only fitting to have a mural to welcome visitors on the outside.
