Contest choosing annual Chief of Cheer to watch 25 holiday films for big cash 🎅📺
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As the holiday season approaches, the debate has begun: is it too early to revisit some beloved Christmas films? Some say to wait until after Thanksgiving.
Others, however, are already prepared to tear up to the journey of “It’s a Wonderful Life” or watch Kevin take down the Wet Bandits in “Home Alone." Some have felt the temperature hit 40-degrees in Milwaukee and feel it's time to celebrate electric glow of the old man's leg lamp in “A Christmas Story." Others are merely ready to tiptoe into the holiday waters with the romantic holiday comedy “Love Actually."
If the above describes you, or someone you know whose passion for the holidays is driving you crazy, it's time for them to fill out an important job application!
A contest is offering $2,500 to one individual willing to watch 25 holiday movies in 25 days during December. The position, titled Chief of Cheer at CableTV.com, includes one-year subscriptions to multiple streaming services and a cozy blanket.
The Chief of Cheer will choose 25 holiday movies to watch and provide reviews of the films and the streaming services used to help curate the best holiday film streaming experience available.
The prize package includes subscriptions to DIRECTV Stream, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Max, Apple TV+, Hallmark+ and a blanket from Minky Couture. The website is partnering with DIRECTV to piece together the prize package and make the position particularly festive.
