Cooper Power Systems in Waukesha will lay off 52 employees due to outsourcing positions
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Cooper Power Systems has announced that they will lay off 52 employees due to outsourcing the positions.
The company is located at 1900 East North Street in Waukesha.
The employees are expected to be affected beginning on or around September 7, 2018.
The Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington Workforce Development Board will provide Rapid Response services to affected workers.
Representative Scott Allen issued the following statement on the Cooper Power Systems layoff, "I am sorry to hear this news, and my heart goes out to the affected employees and their families. With record-low unemployment and expanding job opportunities, Wisconsin needs these skilled workers and I hope each of them will remain here and seek employment in the Waukesha area."
