Visit Milwaukee preview: Dec. 27-29
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ian Thompson from Visit Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, Dec. 26 to take a look ahead at some of the fun events taking place throughout the upcoming weekend in the city.
The Milwaukee County Zoo is hosting its annual "Frosty Free Week," offering free daytime admission through Monday, Dec. 30. Guests can explore animals and nature while enjoying the season of giving. Regular parking, concessions and attraction rates still apply, as do standard admission rates for the Zoo’s Wild Lights night event.
The Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off men’s college hockey tournament returns to Fiserv Forum on Saturday and Sunday. The event features teams from Wisconsin, UConn, Alaska Fairbanks and Ferris State. Semifinal games will take place Saturday, with the championship and third-place games scheduled for Sunday. Wisconsin, ranked fifth in the nation, will defend its 2023 title.
The Urban Ecology Center is hosting "Take it Outside Day" on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy snowshoeing, sledding and other winter activities. The event is free and open to all, though available activities may vary depending on weather conditions.
For New Year’s Eve celebrations, the Hilton City Center will host the third annual NYE MKE Casino Royale Dance Party on Tuesday night. The event runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and features an open bar, casino games and live entertainment. Tickets are required.
