CBS 58

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley is continuing his push to help our local businesses as we recognize Small Business Month this May.

Crowley hosted a small business roundtable discussion Monday at the Uplifting Mansion in Milwaukee.

The conversation was intended to shed light on some of the challenges small business owners are facing and talk about new opportunities to add small businesses to vacant storefronts and create jobs.

"We know that small businesses are the backbone of our entire economy," Executive Crowley said. "Not just here in Milwaukee County, but across the state of Wisconsin and across this nation. So, we want to continue to try and give them as many resources as possible."

Monday's roundtable was part of Crowley's Building Bridges program, which is aimed at expanding brick-and-mortar businesses here in Milwaukee County.
