County Executive Crowley signs bill focused on battling climate change
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The start of April also means the start of earth month and local leaders are committed to keeping our hometowns green.
In Milwaukee, County Executive David Crowley signed a bill that focuses on promoting clean energy and combating climate change.
Crowley says he is proud of the county's progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions but is focused on making Milwaukee a healthier city for years to come.
"We remain focused, on building green infrastructure, creating local sustainability jobs and making sure that every single neighborhood is a part of our climate solution," said Crowley.
The bill also aligns with the county's commitment to the Paris Agreement, an international treaty in which the United States withdrew from last year.
