Crash near Hampton and Fond du Lac leaves 1 person dead, 4 others with serious injuries

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that took place at the intersection of Hampton and Fond du Lac Ave. around 11:30 p.m. on April 8.

A car, with a driver and a 30-year-old passenger, was reportedly traveling eastbound on Hampton when it ran through a stoplight and into another vehicle. The vehicle that was struck was reportedly driven by a 35-year-old with two passengers, ages 5 and 6, and was traveling westbound on Fon du Lac. 

The driver and passengers of the struck car were taken to a local hospital and are being treated with serious injuries.

The driver of the car that ran the stoplight was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead. The passenger of the same car was taken to a hospital and treated for serious injuries.
