Lowe's hands out free cleaning supplies to community members affected by flooding
Updated: Aug. 13, 2025
MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Lowe's is lending a helping hand to the cleanup efforts.
Wednesday morning, the home improvement chain offered free cleanup supplies at their stores in Wauwatosa and Franklin.
Each store had more than 190 Lowe's buckets filled with sponges, flashlights, water, trash bags, goggles and hand sanitizer.
Lowe's even had to put together more buckets of supplies to meet the demand.
Store manager Jon Huebner commented on the importance of helping the community in hard times.
"So, we are all from these communities, we have employees that are impacted, these are our normal customers, and they also live here," Huebner said. "So, for us, it is not just taking care of someone else, it is taking care of all of us together."
Huebner says Lowe's is expecting to give away nearly 500 buckets Wednesday, with more shipments on the way.
