MFD: 4 adults, 6 children displaced after fire near 83rd and Villard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Authorities say all occupants are accounted for after a residential fire Thursday night. 

Four adults and six children are displaced. 

The home sustained "extensive damage."

No cause or damage estimate is available as of yet.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department is responding to a fire near 83rd and Villard Avenue Thursday night, Feb. 27.

Police say they responded around 8:25 p.m. The fire spread to two nearby structures that required additional fire personnel, and it was upgraded to a 2-alarm fire.

According to the fire chief, the fire has been knocked down, and they are currently searching the building. 

Traffic is closed on W. Villard Avenue between N. 84th Street and N. 81st Street.
