Two Rivers community mourns death of missing 7-year-old boy with...
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- He was a father of five, who his family says loved his children. But after he was killed at a bar last year, they've been looking for closure and they need your help to get it.
"Still not over it, it's still there, the pain is still there," said Gladys Taylor. "I think about him every day. I cry about him most days. It's devastating."
Gladys is talking about her youngest son, Daryl Childress.
He was 43 years old when he was killed the night of Nov. 19, 2022.
Milwaukee police say Childress was with a female friend outside of Gold Diggers gentleman's club in the 4700 block of N. 37th Street.
Surveillance video shows Childress sitting in his car while several men walk up and start firing shots. Another look shows the suspects walking into the bar.
Detectives say they're very close to solving this case, but they need the community to come forward and the suspects to turn themselves in.
"I just pray that whoever knows anything about this would please come forward. It could be a friend, a cousin, or whoever, if they would just come forward, say something, I would appreciate it."
If you recognize these men or know anything about the murder of Daryl Childress, call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS. Your call is always anonymous, and if your tip leads to an arrest, you get $1,000 cash.
