Cudahy teen arrested for alleged involvement in social media threat to 'shoot up' high school
CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say a 16-year-old Cudahy resident was arrested Tuesday for her alleged involvement in a social media threat to Cudahy High School.
Officers received a report of a threat that someone would be "shooting up" the school around 5:36 p.m. Monday evening.
The Cudahy Police Department says the threat was made on Instagram, with a picture of a rifle and a caption threatening to shoot up the high school. They say the post was taken down within 30 minutes after it was created.
Officials say the teen involved has a known connection to the school and was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Police say there is no continued threat to the public.
