WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Jessalyn Torres, a member of the Waukesha Xtreme Dance Team, is another young victim of the Waukesha parade.
Video shows her waving to her family just minutes before the red SUV drove through the parade route. The SUV hit Torres, throwing her.
She has a broken pelvis, internal bleeding and has lost a kidney in addition to a broken femur, lacerations to her lungs and a skull fracture.
She's one of more than a dozen kids that were in the ICU, but her family says she's trying to stay positive.
"He went pedal to the metal, and he just guns it down the street," said Ryan Kohnke, Jessalyn's uncle. "It reminded me of war. It was like a war zone, there were bodies everywhere. There was clothes, everything abandoned. People were screaming, looking for their loved ones."
There is a GoFundMe set up for Jessalyn Torres to raise money for the many surgeries she will need, and to pay for medical expenses.
You can find that here.
