David Crowley campaigns in Waukesha, pitches himself as candidate to defeat Tom Tiffany
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) — Milwaukee County Executive and Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Crowley met with voters and supporters in Waukesha on Wednesday night, outlining his vision for Wisconsin and making the case for his candidacy.
Crowley highlighted his record as Milwaukee County executive and said he believes he is the Democrat best positioned to defeat presumed Republican nominee Tom Tiffany in the general election.
"Because there's so much at stake, y'all," Crowley said. "That's why I came back into this election. I know that I'm the best candidate to defeat Tom Tiffany in November. I know I am."
Crowley received 7% support in the most recent Marquette Law School Poll, placing him third in the Democratic primary field.
Francesca Hong led the Democratic field with 38%. The race could shift following Mandela Barnes' decision to drop out.
