Dean Foods closing its Sheboygan milk processing plant

Dean Foods will close its Sheboygan plant as part of the company's plan to consolidate its operations in Wisconsin.
Production at the Verifine Dairy fluid milk processing plant will be phased out on or before April 30 and nearly 70 positions will be eliminated, according to Dustin Cox, company spokesperson.
\"We regret the impact that this result will have on our employees and our community,\" Cox said. \"This move does not reflect the quality of work performed by our employees, but rather reflects the need to remove redundancy in our operations.\"
Significant operations will continue in De Pere and those affected will be made aware of open positions within the company.
