LAMARTINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's deputies found 24-year-old man Jordan Smack and his 4-month-old daughter, Serenity Smack safe Friday, Oct. 15 after the two went missing for multiple hours following a minor crash Thursday night, Oct. 14. 

Sheriff Ryan F. Waldschmidt of Fon Du Lac released the following statement late Friday morning:

"We are pleased to be able to report that Jordan and Serenity have been located safe at an address in the city of Fond du Lac.  Myself and Lamartine Fire Chief Joe Birschbach would like to extend sincere appreciation to the over 100 emergency personnel from multiple agencies who participated in the search for Jordan and Serenity, and want to thank all of the citizens who provided tips and information."

Authorities say the circumstances surrounding the crash and the events that occurred after are being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.

LAMARTINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a 24-year-old man, Jordan, and his 4-month-old daughter, Serenity, who were involved in a minor crash Thursday night, Oct. 14. 

Authorities say the full names of the missing persons are Jordan and Serenity Smack of Fond du Lac.

Per a release from the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office, the Fond Du Lac County Sheriffs Office. in conjunction with the Lamartine Fire Department is continuing an intensive ground and aerial search of the square block located within Brown Rd., Nelson Rd., Rogersville Rd. and Townline Rd. 

Additionally, officials indicate that fire departments with personnel on scene include Waupun, Van Dyne, Town of Fond du Lac, Rosendale, Oakfield, Mt. Calvary, Eldorado, Eden, Brandon/Fairwater, and Alto. 

Reports show that ambulances from Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue and North Fond du Lac are also on scene. 

The Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office said an aircraft from the Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting an aerial search in conjunction with drone teams from the Sheriff’s Office and Fond du Lac Police Department. 

Sheriff’s detectives are reportedly continuing to follow up on tips being provided by citizens, and a Sheriff’s K9 has also been utilized in the search.

LAMARTINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a 24-year-old man, Jordan, and his 4-month-old daughter, Serenity, who were involved in a minor crash Thursday night, Oct. 14. 

The car landed in a ditch around 10:30 p.m. on Brown Rd near Townline Rd in the town of Lamartine. 

Deputies say Jordan removed the baby from the vehicle in her car seat and walked into a marshy area. 

A woman in the car with the two said she lost site of them a short time later.  She was eventually able to get the vehicle out of the ditch and drove back home to the city of Fond du Lac.  After being unable to contact Jordan on his cell phone for several hours, she contacted the sheriff’s office at 2:30 a.m.

The empty car seat was located in a wooded area north of the crash scene. 

Deputies have been unable to locate or make contact with Jordan or Serenity. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie and gray sweatpants.  Serenity was bundled in blankets.
