Dodge County man sentenced to 35 years in prison for repeated sexual assault of child

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 53-year-old Dodge County man, Steven Baran, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for repeatedly sexually assaulting a child. After his prison sentence Baran has 15 years supervision.

During the sentencing the Judge said that Baran will "probably die in prison."

A jury found Baran guilty of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 after a trial last year. Baran used his relationship with the child to take advantage of her including sexually assaulting her and subjecting her to pornographic material. Baran admitted to feeling the urge to rape again stating that he would befriend either a child or an adult and then lure her somewhere after gaining her trust.
