MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- You could call it competitive eating for a cause, and CBS 58 got a sneak peek in Milwaukee.
On Thursday, Nov. 14, two hometown leaders showed us what the "Donut Smackdown" is all about.
Ian Abston from Light the Hoan and John Rivera from the Milwaukee Athletic Club are part of a 27-team challenge to see who can eat nine donuts in the shortest amount of time.
It's a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee.
The Zizzo Group has put this together and the smackdown ends with an "eat off" at the Oriental Theater on Dec. 10.
"A great way to further amplify their hopeful already momentum getting into the holiday cheer. That's the good stuff. The funny stuff is smack talk, slop, slobber, some choking, some donuts flying around," said Anne Zizzo.
A total of 54 executives and leaders are competing for the title of Donut Smackdown Champion.
Each of their teams are trying to raise $75,000.
