CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) – A church in Cedarburg is offering a convenient way to participate in Ash Wednesday services.
Immanuel Lutheran Church offered drive-thru ashes on March 6.
The idea came from one of the church's pastors for people who are busy and still wanted to get a blessing.
"Ash Wednesday is also about humility, seeking forgiveness, and coming to an understanding that you're not the center of the universe, there is a God that we need, we need forgiveness, turn our lives around," said Pastor Jim O'Reilly-Christensen.
The church also says they started offering drive-thru ashes to spread their faith in the community.
