WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A driver crashed into a home near 108th Street and Arthur Avenue in West Allis Wednesday morning, Sept. 9. 

Police responded to the scene just after 8 a.m. 

One person was home at the time of the crash but thankfully were unharmed.

The crash appears to have caused major structural damage to the home, according to police. 

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody for reckless driving and a municipal ordinance violation for negligent operation of a vehicle. Officials say impairment was not a factor in the crash. 

The crash remains under investigation.
